Femme Propre started in November 2019 — a mother, a daughter, and the belief that a properly clean home changes how you feel about your day. There was no big budget, no marketing team. Just years of experience, a refusal to cut corners, and the kind of pride in the work that does not need to be explained.

In the early days, growth came through word of mouth. Clients told friends and family, and by June 2020, people across West London were already talking about Femme Propre. What had started as a small family business was quietly becoming one of the area's most trusted names in cleaning — and we had not spent a penny on advertising to get there.

My mum spent years in the hotel industry, where every room had to pass inspection and nothing was left to chance. In hotels, you do not get a second chance — either it is right or it is not. She brought that standard into people's homes, and clients felt the difference straight away. Over time, they started asking her to help with washing, ironing, and everyday routines too. She was not just cleaning houses. She was taking care of people.
One thing we have learned over the years is that clients rarely notice obvious dirt. What they notice are the small things that get missed — the skirting board wiped around but not along, the surface that looks clean until the light catches it. Those details are where trust is built or lost. We pay attention to them every time.
